I think I have the new ones. The 'key' is basically a male spline drive that fits inside the lug bolt. You just put the key in your lug wrench and remove the bolt as usual. They cost about $26 with my cca discount. They work well, the wheels are still on the car :-)
I'm not too familiar with the old style. I think they have a traditional keyed lock that fits over the lug bolt. Kinda like McGard locks. I've heard of the keys in these type of locks breaking off.
Hope this helps.

I just saw the McGard locks and they are the "old" style.
I was inside the shop that is a wholesale parts warehouse for these.
He flat out told me that for the money, there is not much better than Gorilla locks...coincidentally, check the group buy forum.
The Gorilla's have a serial number lock, so they are pretty nice safety items.

I have the Gorillas, and for $35 I could not be happier.:)
