Z4 Diagnostics

I was reading and searching in this section and there were several threads that states the Peak tools were not compatible for the Z4.

I also read that there are Engine Diagnostic codes and SRS ABS codes.

I have an Autoxray 4000 Reader/Scanner/Monitor - It does not have the BMW specific codes programmed in, but I think its an upgradeable option.

My specific questions are as follows:

1) Can I read these SRS and ABS codes through the OBD II port?

2) Is there some difference in the Z4 that a generic BMW specific code set wont cover?

Generic OBD codes and tools are meant for emissions-related problems. SRS, ABS, AC, active steering or stability control... they are all non-related to emissions.
