I picked up my 08 328i last night with prem package, heated seats ,xenon.... I woke up at 3:30am and felt like kid with a new bike and headed out to the back roads with nobody out, I was able to fully enjoy the car (limiting the rpm's of course), just got back 6:30am.
I have several BMW's and a ton of Toyotas, this is the best road car I have ever owned and I am sure that I will appreciate it even more as time passes. Thanks all for your little push on upgrading from my e46, it was a easy decison once I drove the new car.

Congrats on the newest member of your family.
It's funny you said you got up at 3:30am to drive you car. I have had my 335i for 1 year now and I still do the same thing as you. The wife thinks I'M crazy but she is getting used to it.
Enjoy :mdrbig

Funny thing is my wife woke up and went with me. She fully understands, since she feels that same about here x3.
I guess 18 years of marriage helps us to think alike... today is out anniversary.

Interesting....since I've had mine I take it out late in the evenings for a cruise and find it a great way to unwind..never had that feeling with other cars that I have owned...

It is soooo true. When I am upset, all it takes is a half hour drive on the backroads or a scenic road in my Bimmer to calm down and regroup. Who needs a Therapist :D. Most other cars feel like appliances on wheels with the sole purpose of getting you from point A to point B, some reliably some not so. A BMW however is a true driving machine with a soul that through some form of osmosis combines with your soul to produce sheer pleasure and enjoyment. In most other cars you can't wait to get home and park the car, in a BMW you wish the way home was longer. :buttrock

Well Said! It's true...who needs a therapist...just get yerself a bimmer! LOL!
Being a "giddy" first time owner..I'm pinching myself some days thinking...man..at the end of the day you get to fly home in this awesome piece of machinery! Every day has been a treat since I've had this car and I can't wait until the spring when I can take it on those winding roads in the Texas Hill Country!

It seems the end of the year is attracting a lot of customers.
Same as you, there was definitely no "Buyers remorse" when I woke up the next morning with a huge grin of pure satisfaction!

took the car on a road trip yesterday to Seattle. 2 cars 1/4 miles ahead and 2 behind about the same. We were able to really make good time and for the first time I was able to see how this new car flet at high speeds for exended periods.
Compared to the e46... night and day. bette road feel , the car did not feel light while autobon type driving.
Love it everyday.
My wife hates it when we head out to the garage and she looks at me and ask me if I want to drive th x-3, her car is not feeling the love, wait till it snow's, it will get love. Now the big truck is the one that gets no love now.
