My paint is somewhat more neglected at this point than it's ever been on my cosmos E36 M3. Usually when I do my quarterly detail I would do the following..
1. clay
2. swirl remover (for several years I've used 3M Swirl Remover for black cars with my PC)
3. glaze (for several years I've used 3M Imperial Hand Glaze)
4. P21S (sometimes I have use the Zaino system stuff before this step)
anyway I have troublesome spots and generally my paint isn't in as good shape as usual. It's cosmos black and the paint is soft so I don't want to be harsh but I would like to do an additional step this time before step 2. I want to use a heavier cut swirl remover, something a bit more harsh than the 3M or meguires swirl remover together with a medium cut yellow pad on my PC 7424. Any ideas what polish I could use that would be fairly safe? I have some 1Z polish that I had for my other car. Is a 'cleaner' too harsh...should it not even be considered?
