I am wondering if there is a big cost difference on performance mods between an E30 and E36. I currently have a 98 4dr that I would like to keep stock as a daily driver. I am thinking of selling my ITS race car and picking up a second bimmer for track days and such. We recently had twins which will cut down on the racing funds, so I figured I would sell the race car and get something I can enjoy on the street and on the track.

I know the E36 has a better chassis and suspension, but I need to keep the costs down. Looking at bang for the buck type scenario.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Mike,
The E36 has many more options for mods, but they are more expensive. If you are looking to track it, the first mods should be with the suspension(make sure to do both springs and struts on the E36) and brakes. The exhaust should come first(better to have the air/exhaust flowing faster out of the engine than into the engine), then intake, so on and so on... Let us know if you need prices for any parts... We have a ton of them.
