new owner please help

i have a 2000 232ci the power window doesn't move up or down when i open or close the door anymore, but it still works... how can i fix this? can someone with better insight let me know before i screw things up...i just got car for 2 weeks.

Does your interior light work when you open that door? If it doesn't but works on other doors then the actuator in the door jam is bad. You can get the part and install it yourself if you are half-way handy. On a scale of 1 to 5 wrenches, this is a two.
