Trans Program

Hey everybody. So I know there are threads all over the place about trans program but I think it seems like everybody has varying cases of it.

The first time my car did it was last summer i was just driving and the check engine light flashed on and off for a few seconds and it appeared and drop the tranny into 3rd I guess.
Now like every 3rd or 4th time a drive my car the check engine light flickers and it pops into trans program. Nothing else is wrong, and there is no other symptoms.
Everytime I turn off the car this warning goes away and my car drives like normal.
I think this may be electrical because it seems like my transmission is perfectly fine. What do you all think it may be?

chances are it's something electrical.. i had the same problem. My car gave the trans message and kicked down into safe mode. It hasn't given me any problems since.. luckily. When that message isn't on, the car drives very well as usual, so i'm thinking mines electrical. heres some info i read up on a little while ago.

Sounds electrical to me too. When I got the trans program message I could actually feel the transmission slipping between gears and it wouldn't downshift anymore making it the actual transmission. There is a tranny control unit you might think about replacing as when I was researching about mine it sounded like that is one of the most common problems.
