can anybody tell me which engine are compatible with my 1995 530i. i currently have an m60 with 126,000 mi on it

Directly, any other V8 M60 -- M60 B30 3 litre or M60 B40 4 litre.

I don't know whether to say, "really?" and risk being called naïve, or to say, "horseshit" and risk being overly hostile and dismissive. It seems really outlandish - seriously, a twin-turbo Japanese straight-6 in a naturally aspirated German V8 engine bay? - but if it really can be done, I'm all ears.

BTW, got any pics of your E34?

Treehouse Racing, in Nashville, is putting an s/c s52 in to a 530i that has a trashed motor, sucks that the guy got robbed on the car just to find out the v8 was crap. They're shooting for about 400hp.

anything can be done with enough money and time....

direct bolt ins besides the ECU and MAF were mentioned above...
