reshimming lifters

Has anyone had there solid lifters reshimmed? I have a 95 m3 with cams and solid lifters that that are ticking quite a bit. I have been told that I would have remove the head and pretty much have the engine over hauled? Has anyone had any experience with this?

Uhh, no. You will have to have the cams removed (not have the engine dismantled) to change shims on a US head converted to solid lifter. But this is more of a question to address on the regular E36 M3 list, not the Eurospec list.
