So what's with no-haggle pricing?
Does that mean it is NOT possible to negotiate with the salesmen there?
There's a nice E36 M3, but they're asking $21k.
I was thinking 19.

Yes the price is fixed. WTF are they selling that's worth 21k? Mileage? full docs? Its still probably overly priced because you will be paying about 2 grand premium to go through Carmax. Add the tax onto that 21k and your looking at 23k.

The CarMax sales rep told me he's virtually never seen the sales managers let customers negotiate. They're [supposedly] already discounted off of KBB. I've seen cars that are blatantly priced at KBB or more so they must be smoking some serious crack to be delusional (and prone to mis-representing their products) enough to think the prices are below KBB...

It's a '99 M3 with 50k miles.

in their commercials they rave about how they "don't make you go through the trouble of haggling" with in reality means, "we won't discount it at all." They charge you a ton for service, and their cars aren't as great as they say. I went out in their lot once when I was 16 and first looking for a car, and they had lost the keys for several of the cars, others had dead batteries, and others smoked and shook. Lemon-checker my ass. I wouldn't buy from CarMax ever.

They don't negotiate. But if the car does not sell in a certain length of time, they will reduce it.
I once had my eye on a car at Carmax in Richmond. This car did not look as good on paper as some of their other cars because the list of options was wrong. This is a common problem at used car lots. After a week of shopping, I determined that Carmax had the best deal. The car was still there and it was $500 less.
