The electric cooling fans in my wifes '07 328xi are louder than the engine. When I am sitting on the sofa in the living room, and she is entering the driveway, I cannot hear the car, but the fans can be clearly heard. Is this normal? Sometimes she enters the driveway and the fans aren't on. I cannot hear anything at that point, until she closes her door. Loudest fans I have heard next to a diesel trucks.
