I am going to buy a 2008 328i coupe. I would like to know about how much I could bargain with the dealer. Any idea?

Thanks

Seriously, sometimes I wonder if people on the internet know how to use the internet. Edmunds or KBB list the "what to expect to pay" which is the average deal of the car you're looking for.

And just like any car, depending on the demand and negotiating skill you can get down to close to the invoice.

Or if you have AAA, I think they have a program...call them. Welcome to the internet. :)

Actually I did look at kbb and kbb shows this:

MSRP*
$36,075.00
Invoice*
$33,250.00
New Car Blue
Book Value*
What consumers are really paying for this vehicle
$34,091.00

It's 2000 below the MSPR. What I know is that 328i coupe is really difficult to find in this moment. I talked to several dealers, and none of them is willing to lower the price. This is why I would like to ask here, to see who actually could bargain the price down =)

hungyyip,
if you are flexible in terms of color/options - you're in much better shape to negotiate. but coupes- 335 or 328's - are harder to come by in LA.
however, they are out there, and you should be able to find one if you aren't stuck on finding one w/ a certain color or options pkg.
but 2,000 off msrp, i'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen ... have you tried using edmunds to submit an internet request to several dealerships? i did, worked out well - got bids from 3 dealerships, with actual #'s, not just "come on in, we'll talk" offers.
good luck!

When I found my car, and i just called every dealer in the area for a 335C MT, all of them gave me # on the phone.
