Alright,

Back because ive sparked some interest with the new signature. Ive made a very rough idea of a t-shirt. I made the front with SESF in mind, but i think ill have to talk to Kai and Nat about it, dont want to tick them off if they are doing something else. This could definitely be something i can change. I was thinking of putting a different logo on the front, perhaps that shark profile that a few of you guys have as signatures with a catchy slogan of some sort.

rugbywinger suggested that the e24 shark roundel would be good on a hat. I totally agree!

I'm interested... and that shark profile is sweet, with the "You aren't afraid of sharks, are you?
Or "Be eMpowered" should get rid of any legality issues... though you aren't planning on selling them for profit, are you? I really don't care actually, as long as you can get it to my door for $20, I'm fine with whatever.

I was figuring that would be about the price. Profit isnt the objective, just to get something around for people. would be a limited run, id probably make them in M, L, XL. Other sizes i could have made, just gotta let me know. Ill get around to it haha, let me figure things out with kai.

i'll take a black one, too! and i agree with dm635 about 'SESF' maybe being optional...honestly, i think the shirt would look fine with the large logo on the front and that's it...but i dig that logo and would probabyl take whichever one you did.

(would also like to put a vote in for a small size if feasible.)

Also, I'd say keep the 'drawing' type design. Keep the lines from where it was colored in. Make it more... Rustic I guess is the word.
I can't really modify that to different colors on my computer because of my lack of programs, I cheated on that one, used 'negative' Worked well in my opinion.

Id be in for one of each color scheme, black & white.

But, Im a big guy and need a 2XL, XL would advertise my beer belly a bit too much. :D

I am indifferent on the SESF on the front, but, DEFINITELY like the large logo on the back, thats killer.

If you did not use the SESF on front breast, you could replace it with your design that is on the back, kinda redundant I know.

Oh, and I was going to make a comment and see what everyone else thought. Wouldnt be cool if the shark had some teeth showing, like how you see them in the wild? They always appear to have their mouths open slighty like some off us humanoid mouth breathers. Just a thought.

This thread is starting to remind me of the episode of "Fame" where the dude has written a simple song about life's struggles, but then the whole message get's hijacked by other people who turn his song into an over-produced piece of garbage...In the end, he just walks onto the stage with his guitar and sings his song in the middle of the back-stage hoopla!
Well maybe this thread isn't quite like that, but you get my point...I'm sure whatever design Jeff comes up with will be terrific...but one suggestion...maybe some leg-warmers to go with the shirt? FAME! I WANT TO LIVE FOREVER!

jeff, i didn't intend to knock on the SESF font. it would do fine for people that do attend sharkfest and a small run just may be in order. but that will be over soon enough while the shirt lives on. the ones who can't attend or on the other coast probably wouldn't want it on there.
i appreciate the art work, but i do have to admit that i like the 2nd version.

Not a problem. i didnt think the SESF was going to stick when i made the shirt design. I like the one acorn did with the profile on the front a lot better anyway. Im pretty sure nat and kai have their t-shirt and other clothing guy for sesf, so ill leave that be. Ill look into seeing what cost would be for the shirts. There are a couple companys around here that do custom tee's. Lots of college clubs get shirts made all the time.

I say we make an annual run of E24 based shirts. Put someone in charge, not to steal it from Jeff, but I have no idea if he wants to keep in charge of doing this each year. I think it would be interesting, collect submissions throughout the year, and then during october, take a vote.
Just throwing a suggestion out there.
Also, maybe make another shirt, a bf.c shirt annually. That one would be sitewide submission acceptance.

I think its a good idea to try and do an annual t-shirt. Perhaps lets not do it through bf.c, because there are other sites too that have a big E24 following that would like the shirt. I know a bunch of roadfly guys and gals that would like the E24 shirt, but they dont belong to bf.c. Lets just throw a year on there somewhere so we can know the difference.

Dont feel like your takin it from me haha. I was doing it for the cause, i dont have too much time i can do with it, but ill see what i can find out about pricing after this weekend (home PSU game, sorry, occupied with festivities from tonight to sunday haha).

haha, he drives an E46 330xi, its pretty sweet. You know its him when you see a big red handicap PSU parking pass hanging from the rearview. It pretty much means he can park wherever the hell he wants too.

do all the legwork for you. I don't know all the fine details, as I have not used them, but I think that they'll make the T's and ship them where ever they need to go. All you have to do is post the link to you cafepress page and folks can order from them...you won't have to deal with $$$ or shipping. I cannot speak to the qualilty of their product, and I am totally unaffiliated with them.

In order to make this run smoothly, please include Size, Quantity, and Color with your request. That will be needed to accurately place a mass order and enable it to be ensured that there will be at least enough for everyone who wants one from this thread.

P.S. Jeff: Are you posting this on the other sites you mentioned? Any ideas yet on final pricing? That would be nice in order to get more enthusiasm about it.

While I'm not a Shark owner yet, I think the black tshirt with white looks best, small SESF on the front, larger logo on middle of the back.....IMHO...I would order that for sure.

Here is what i got back from a shirt company in state college:

"The prices for the shirts would be $ 5.34 for the white tee shirt and $ 6.84 for the black tee shirts, in sizes small to extra large. The screening fee is $25.00 ($15.00 for the 1st screen and $10.00 for each additional screens). This is a one time set up fee.
Our normal turn around time is 2 weeks and a 25% deposit with the order. I hope this has answered your questions. I will wait to hear from you.

So, for a batch of 12 white shirts, and 12 black shirts (just a number i picked because they need at least 12 shirts for a job).

T-Shirts alone: $146
Screening: $25
Total for 24 shirts: $171 before shipping.

Im going to see if i can supply shirts. That way i can gaurantee sizes, and hopefully bring down the price.

Does my math make sense from what the email says??
