Here's one pic. Montego Blue / Black Dakota leather interior with aluminum trim. Sorry but it was a hurried early-morning shot, and the car wasn't in the sun.

I like it but it doesn't seem to have that shine, what do you think of it, apart from your personal love for the car?

The car is in the shade--It really looks great in the sun. Shiny. But it's....a deep shine. It's a very rich color. Very glossy. I like it, and I wasn't sure I would when I ordered it. Think of a windless glassy medium blue ocean, just ofshore from the beach a bit.

That said, the only potential issue I see is that it could show up swirl marks and dirt more easily than a lighter color (silver, for instance).
The monaco blue is so dark that it looks like black until you get close. It will definitely show up more dirt and paint imperfections than the montego blue.

Oh, and one more point: Montego blue is somewhat flashier than the monaco. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing in your book.

Well we happen to have a 335i Convertible in Montego and 335i Coupe in Monaco. So, here you go!

Look at them both in the real world. Make a decision when you see the actual car. I was really in love with the Metallic Graphite color, but ended up going with the Space Gray. The color looked stellar on paper in the brochure, when I saw the graphite color in the real world, it had a purple tint to it with the sun shining on it. The blue colors may not be as pronounced as the grays and look great in the real world.
But see if your local dealer has the particular cars on the lot, and take a look at them sparkling in the sun.

haha RBrylawski I'm definately jealous but that's perfect!
It definately helps to have them side by side :)
and galahad05 I'm a real estate agent so flashy doesn't hurt at all, I had an ex girlfriend with me at the dealership the other day and she said the monaco looked like something an airforce pilot would drive so that sort of piqued my interest I guess I'll just have to toss a coin in the end...
Thanks soo much guys I'll let you know once i've ordered it because I don't think my decision will be final until that signature on the order is final :)

monaco and saddle is stunning - i agree. i have monaco and cream beige and personally, i think it's a gorgeous combo.
what i don't get? white with light beige interior - and i've seen it several times. just my two cents (i'm sure someone will disagree :) but it totally looks "generic rental car". go for contrast!

I Passed on saddle because BMW didn't do a black headliner unless it's a vert. Those gray A-pillars that come down to the dash totally ruined saddle for me. Beige is nice because you get a beige headliner. A big DUH to BMW for that one.

Funny, we have the saddle/black combo in our Monaco 335i Coupe and until you mentioned this it hadn't registered that the headliner is grey. I guess it is, now that I think about it, but it still doesn't seem to distract from the interior color combination or make us wish we had a different combination. The pillar and roof color just seems to blend in a non-descript way. At least to my eyes it does.........

What trim do you have? The trim could make the difference between a good blend vs. too many colors. Especially, when you introduce a new shade with the headliner.

I vote for montego. It lloks awesome, especially in the sun. I love blue, but the monaco just seems too dark and doesn't grab one's attention like the montego does. Here a pic of my car...

Honestly these pictures don't even do the Montego justice. It actually shimmers in the sun and has some purple in it. I get a ton of compliments on mine every day. It is the only one in my area that I have seen and I love it.

I have a montego blue with a light beige (cream) interior 328 I convertible. I have received plenty of great compliments.

They are two very different colors. The Monaco blue is dark navy blue (probably prompted the USAF comment) and out of direct sunlight often looks black. The Montego blue is a "younger" color IMO, as it is showy and sporty. I think Montego is beautiful and the better of the two, but it is your car. You have to be the one that sees it all the time :)

Montego is the best color in E90/2. Its the NA version of the European Le Mans Blue - thats simply awesome. Wait until Le Mans hits NA.

Also, Monaco Blue in E90/92 replaces the Orient Blue in E46, and Montego Blue replaces Mystic Blue - which is the best color in E46.
