I have a 2008 335i Coupe on order (It's on the boat!), and I was just asking myself whether or not it had Light Emitting Diode turn signals? I know that the brake lights are, but I don't know about the turn signals.
I HATE when they mix it up! LED brake lights with regular bulbs for the turn signals or vice versa. I think that it looks..... shoddy, bad.

So you will return it if it doesn't?

I agree. Every time I see a 2006-2007 Honda Accord with the LED brake lights and the Incandescent turn signals I groan. IMO they should either go all the way or not, don't do half and half b/c it looks terrible.

Someone with a coupe here will have to chime in, but I don't think you have full LED brake lights on the E92 either.

All that said, I wouldn't hold your breath thinking you'll be getting LED turn signals unless there was an unannounced '08 MY change on that item. Why they added them on the last few years of the E46 and then removed them for the E9x is beyond me, but I imagine we'll see all LED rear lighting return on the '09 models.

I guess I'm not very observant as I really don't notice the difference. I agree there is a benefit to using LED for brake lights as there have been studies that show a faster response time in emergency situations. Turn signals are another thing? Why would it make a difference? Is the concern purely aesthetics?

Yes.

Yes.

Like I said, while I prefer LED for it's crisp and quick on/off "cycle" times, I am not opposed to incandescent. I just hate when they mix the two. Visually it's an awful effect.

Speaking of LED I think Cadillac has done the best job with it. My neighbor has a DTS with LED's all around on the back and it even has (what appear to be) xenon or LED backup lights. The lighting on that car looks SHARP.

I think you're in luck. I don't believe the brake or turn signals are LED. I believe they are all regular light bulbs. I have an E92 and E93. Doesn't concern me really. I've followed several coupes and the brake lights and turn signal lights look bright enough to me.

I personally think the e46 coupes and convertibles (after freshening) looked the best. The red LED taillights and the yellow LED turn signals looked great. Very few cars have the yellow LEDs and there's something about them that I find very attractive.

The LED's just give the car a........... classy(?)/finished look.... They separate it from a Pontiac. (and they use less power!)

As far as I know there was no change from 07 to 08 in rear lights.
