Hello folks,
I'm almost a BMW owner. I'm getting it from Carmax and am awaiting its transfer from Georgia to Maryland. 21 days they told me. It's my first time dealing with Carmax. So far they've been super. Anyone else have experience buying from them? Positives or negatives?
Anyway, the car is an '06 330i with a manual tranny. It has the sport, premium, cold packages, leather, and navi. It's black with a terra interior with walnut trim. It has 18k miles.
I live in Cecil county Maryland. That's the most northeastern one, abutting Pennsy and Delaware. I know a good mechanic in Wilmington, DE (Steve Swyka) who has worked on my Acura. I'm looking for a competent mechanic in my area, along with a good tint shop. Any recommendations out there?
Currently I own an '03 Acura CL Type S with a 6-speed manual tranny. It's the daily beater and has been almost bulletproof for the first 150k miles (so far). I also own an '00 MB C230k with 20k miles. It's my wife's and super clean. At the rate she puts miles on it, it should last 20 years.
To tell the truth, I was debating between a new 328 and a new C class. After a test drive of the MB we decided to get it. If Hunt Valley MB had a manual tranny unit in stock we would have bought it on the spot. Anyway, we went home to pick a color, until I came across the BMW we chose (above). We picked it strictly from the pics, description, features, and price. I haven't seen it yet and sincerely hope I'm not disappointed as I've laid out a non-refundable transfer fee.
