Re 335i Coupe And Convertible models... can someone share with me how (if) golf clubs fit?
I used to own an '05 M3 Coupe. Golf clubs fit (barely) into the trunk. Is it about the same with the new 335's? I assume the hardtop convertible presents a real challenge for someone like me who often travels with golf clubs...
any help appreciated.

One set of clubs fits fine without having to put the rear seats down. Seats down and you can get 3 stand, cart bags in there with ease or 2 tour bags.

I have a 335 coupe and can fit two fairly large cart bags along with two small suit cases without putting the seats down. It is a tight fit and requires some finesse including pulling the drivers out of the bags. I have not tried a staff bag. One bag is not a problem although I know just how to swing it in and out. The openning is a little tight so I always load and unload myself and keep the cart boys away less they snap my Aldila NV.

Two stand bags fit in fine with the rear seats up in a 335 coupe. The first angled diagonally butt end first to the back right and the second laterally across the front (part closest to you standing at the rear) - the clubs come together at an angle at the front left of the trunk. Take the drivers/3 metals out and toss those in diagonally as well. A 47 1/4" driver fits no problem. 3 sets are also possible following the same scheme, but with the third set on top of the second laterally - it's tight, but fits.

I doubt golf clubs will fit the trunk of my convertible, but I don't play golf, so it doesn't matter. But, on all convertibles, the rear seat (leather portion) folds completely flat, creating a reat storage shelf, so there's a lot of additional storage space in the convertible. I would imagine this would easily handle a couple sets of clubs. Unless you plan to carry a group of your golf buddies with you, the rear area used like this should make it simple.

2 choices with the convertible. Backseat down and it will hold at least two sets of clubs (I've already done this). If you have the pass through in the trunk, you can get one small set that way - but its not practical as you have to use the back seat anyway.

are you saying that you can travel with two sets of clubs while top is down? or only when top is up?
Thanks-

Chris

In the coupe, you can take the drivers out and fit 4 stand bags in the trunk horizontally. Then your backseat passengers just have to hold the drivers - not terribly convenient, but it works.

I'll answer since I own a vert too. He's saying you can use the back seat for two sets of clubs. Remember, the back folds down to create a shelf that is perfect for luggage or clubs or anything large you need to carry. And that is with the top down or up. Doesn't matter. There's also a pass-thourgh option, which I got, but have yet to find a need to use it. That too will work with the top down or up.
