I have a 92 535i and the front drivers side brake is sticking. Actually if I'm driving and I dont press the brakes too hard then it wont even engage. But when I press hard enough for it to engage it sticks. All the other ones work normal. I've bled it and I just changed the caliper last night. Still having the problem. After it is stuck for a while it will unstick. I dont think there is anything blocking the brake line because it bleeds ok. Any ideas? Thanks.

No one knows?
What is the square metal thing that the brakes lines go into after the master cylinder. Would it be ok to take to line off of that just to make sure its not blocked.

Ok I pulled the line off of the caliper end and I noticed that I didnt have to plug it to stop fluid from coming out. A little came out and then it just stopped. On the passenger side (the one I know is working) I had to plug the line because the brake fluid wouldnt stop coming out. Could this help anyone answer my original question? Thanks.

Take it to someone who can pressure bleed it, if the system hasn't been pressure bled already. If the caliper is good, I would suspect the master cylinder is done.

The brake fluid reservoir is further down in the car than most people suspect. Just having the open line above the level of the reservoir, which some people will do inadvertently, prevents the system from draining.

Thanks lowell. Would the rest of the brakes work ok if the master cylinder was no good. So what you are saying is that lifting the line too high would let air get into that "squarish" metal thing in between the master cylinder and the caliper? Thanks again for your help.
