I picked up my new 2008 335i today. It has the sport suspension, auto, navigation, and is Arctic Metallic. I traded in my 2001 325xi (5MT) and what a difference! Acceleration, electronics, everything. The i-drive system has a learning curve, but enables you to do a lot. Great car and I really like the color.

Ken, nice car. Welcome. You're going to absolutely love that nav system with the i-drive too. Just play with it and you'll figure it out and some other cool features and shortcuts after about a week or so. It's a lot of fun and really easy to use. Try - try - try to break the engine in the way it says in the owners manual. It should make it better and last longer. I'm still holding back after about 1600 miles just because I don't want a speeding ticket this early on. Since I've been past the 1200 mile mark, I actually have ripped it past the 6000 rpm mark a few times, but only when I saw that it was within the proper range for normal operating temperature. It's awesme when you pull it just to 4k rpm, but when you rev it to 6k and beyond, it's just crazy fast. You've got really have some serious will power and patience to wait though... good luck. I did it and now I'm reving it up there sometimes, but it's not necessary most of the time. It's just fun.

I like that color too. Post some pictures when you've had enough posts to do so. Do you plan to tint the windows or leave them?

Congrats! With your mileage you can run the car to redline as often as you like with no worries. The manufacturer says 1200 miles and its broken in. Which means drive the car the way it was meant to be driven.

Blue Streak,

Even in two days of driving I've figured out a lot about the i-drive. Once you learn what to do, it's easy and really not as distracting as the car writers (who, I suspect, do not have much time in the car) frequently maintain.

Congratulations. I just got a 335i loaner today, It's a very nice car, and a lot faster then I expected. The power comes on so smooth and early. The thing revs really quick too. I think I should just tell them to keep the X5 and I take this.:D

Oh man.. I had that as a loaner too and I was hoping that I was able to keep it for the weekend. That was like 6 weeks ago and I still have that accelerating feeling in my body. I have 16 more months on my lease and I really want to get a 335i

Great car and have fun.

Pics. I know, I know. I like to see them too. My computer skills are not up to the task, however.

mine today and gave up my Lexus for it. Arrives in November of this year, I hope. I've been a resident of the Z board for a couple of years so I'm a newbee over here and looking forward to following both forums.
