I always thought that on my coupe my lights' distance was short, it didn't bother me much but sometimes it does make a difficult to avoid potholes on the road because I can't see them in time. Now that my car is at the dealers and gave me a loaner (328xi sedan) I know for sure that my lights are short, lights on 328's are nice and long, I can see everything on the road with a perfect distance. I called the dealer about it and after inspecting it they said that there's nothing they can do, I mean they really can't adjust the lights for further visibility, I understand they are adaptive and all but come on, there should be a screw or something to have the beam reach out a little bit more...

Anyone with suggestion or similar problems?

This has been discussed here and at e90post. There is a DIY over there (link below) on how to adjust.

HA! so there is a way to adjust the lights. Thanks for the links, I'll do this when I get a chance... It just beats me why they wouldn't adjust them at the dealer's.. Oh well it's best to do it yourself (sometimes) hehe

Some European car models come (or used to at least) with headlight adjustment knob in the dash or center console (I know the Prelude did for example). Not a huge amount of adjustment, but probably kinda what you are looking for. US models didn't/don't and I am guessing that is due to stricter regulations which is probably the same reason the dealer couldn't do them. Just a guess.
P.S. Be careful not to end up blinding oncoming traffic for your convenience.
Cheers

hehe thanks but no worries, I'll try to adjust them very carefully, I just need about couple more feet.
