Your title says OBDI and you mention OBDII in your text. OBDII is for 1996+ cars, although I think some 1996 cars were still ODBI.

Not sure what you're driving, but I just wanted to point out that this is only for the following:

Ive got a 95 325is.I do have a obd II reader but cant use it on my personal car because its obd 1.I have a peake scanner tool as well that work fine on my car.Im just looking for something that will do air bag light sorta all in one unit if I could.Thanks for your responce.

im looking how to read my modules also from the diag connection.. 1991 318is.. obd 1. should be a pc interface and software somewhere

I would love a pre 95 obd 1 scanner for my e34, still searching though.

Pre 95 obd1 scanners are a dime a dozen. A snap on mt-2500 with a BMW primary is you best bang for the buck. I routinely see them used on ebay for 1-200 dollars with software. The newer you go the more expensive they get. However, should you want to use it for something newer just update the module to something newer. Even an older OBD1 scanner will do OBD2 generic with the right module.

If you want to turn off the airbag light/reset oil/maintance..you can just use a paperclip or the peake tool. If you wanted to take to the next level..it'd be carsoft...

You can turn of a airbag with a paper clip?Never heard of that one ever before............Tell me how you do it?

Yes, I've seen the basic scanner body without module for 50-100 dollars. You can find OBD1 modules very cheap less than 30.00 but the obd1 cable is usually the biggest cost.

carsoft6.5 is your bet,snapon is a load of blurghhhhhhhhhh!''no offence to lorkar'',iused one of them 10 years ago & no its just there incase the handbrake cable snaps to stop the car rolling away & for hitting burgulars with.i use inpa & pasoft 1.36 also carsoft is your best choice i still have a new kit here spare just incase & your system is 26pin dlc & the lead you want is easy to get to fit with a pasoft interface also as the carsoft comes with all connections.so donot waste your money on sun diagnostic knockoffs in the name of snapon !,the only original snapon toools are the ones that are coated in chromium.take this from a pro auto electrician & auto problem shooter as ican make interfaces also & programme them .if you want a kit pm me or email me or advice on were to buyone 'as this is no problem for me.
