Folks,

Can someone please post a step by step on changing the front hub/bearing assembly on a 2002 Mini ?

BTW, I have already started the job (kinda figured on removing the rotor, axle nut and 4 bolts in the back of the control arm) but I'm stuck on the rotor now ! The torx screw wouldn't come out, so I had to drill it out but the rotor is still stuck on the hub ! Wha..??

those rotor bolts get stuck alot because they are a triangular shaped bolt and corrosion forms on the flat sides. anyway, you will need to smack the rotor with a hammer to get it off. as long as that hold down is drilled through and is out of the way, just pull on the back of the rotor while hitting the part of it that fits against your wheel, and it should pop off.

Oh man, the rotor is on pretty tight. I drilled the conical seat off the torx screw and went almost to the other side of the hub with a 1/2 inch bit. There's no way that there should be any part of the screw holding down the rotor to the hub. I banged on the inside of the rotor with a dead blow hammer but it don't budge !
