We have a 2007 BMW 328i that has recently started stalling while driving. The stalling has occurred when my wife drove on a local road and used the brake.

The car was bought for my pregnant wife, and now for the just-born baby, I do not feel comfortable any more to let them drive the car as I am concerned it may stall a any time. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be wrong or what I could do? Thanks!

see this a couple of times, make sure she is using 91 octane, 87 gas has been know to cause this vehicle to stall out.

I'd lay odds that it had something to do with the MAF and it either is dirty or out of spec. I can see that happening with the wrong fuel but I'd assume it would happen more because lots of people run 87 in 91 spec'd cars.

We always use 91 octane gas. That should not be a problem unless some gas stations cheat.

How about letting the dealer fix it. If it's less than a year and continues to happen you could push for BMW to take it back as a "buy back" or lemon.

Take it do the dealer and let BMW fix it. You'll be okay.

I dropped my car yesterday, the dealer called me and told me that they could not find the problem, but they would reinstall all the softwares; so I hope I can get my car back today.
They gave me a dodge as a loaner.
