Hi all,
I'm new here and have been enjoying the much informative posts.
Our 08 328i sedan was completed on Tuesday 9/18. It is Monaco (dark) blue with grey leather interior, 6 speed manual, premium package, heated seats. This will be primarily my wifes work car but I'm expecting we'll use it for road trips as well.
I was somewhat pulled between the 335i and the car we ordered. I liked the idea of more horsepower but what put me off was the fairly recent introduction of this model. I got burnt once with a first year model vehicle and don't want to experience that again. We've owned one other BMW she and I both enjoyed the way it drove and handled.
The plan is to have this car paid for before the 4 year/50k warranty expires and ordering another new one. I'll be closely watching how things go with the 335i series it may be her next ride.
Best wishes to all!

I am also torn between the 328 and 335. You probably made the right call though, buying a first-year model is a bit risky.

i love my monaco blue ... you'll love how it looks, great color.
i'm interested to see how it looks with the dark grey interior, so please post a pic when you get it.
either car would be a great choice, and i think you did quite well!

Thanks for the input. I'll definitely post some pics, I'll need to do some more posting beforehand in order to do so. My wife picked the colors, she wanted to go with the brushed aluminum trim but I insisted on the burl walnut. My fear was that the metal would blend with the gray to the extent that it would look virtually the same. I think the wood is more classy for the sedan model as well. But these are personal preferences and I in no way mean to discredit another persons selection, variety and diversity are what give our lives spice. Peace.

I too, liked the aluminum trim, but got walnut. I'm really glad I got walnut now, as I've read posts about aluminum trim getting dinged by things like seat belt buckles.

I got the 335i Montego Blue with grey leather. Love the color combo, but the MB seems to draw alot of attention. The 335i is my first BMW and have found the car amazing. Got the sports package with AT. My wife can drive the car in D and go to the mall and the car is tame. I can put the car into DS, steptronic, or paddle shifts, and the car and drive like hell. The power is deceptive.
