first time leasing a new vehicle and was wondering if anyone has any advice with regards to the questions I should ask, things I should look out for, and how I can get the best deal possible. The lease rates are quite low this time of year on the 2007 328i.....

Don't buy any extras like excess wear/tear protection. Other than that, negotiate the best price possible just as you would buying, as your monthly lease cost will depend on the negotiated price of the car.

Also understand how leasing works, as far as mileage allowed, cost for excess mileage, allowable normal "wear" on the vehicle at lease return, buyout-cost at lease-end, and money factor. www.bimmerfest.com has a lot of good info on leasing. Not understanding all these things can allow the dealers to add additional costs to your lease to their benefit.

Premium package
6-speed automatic
titanium silver

residual 0.58
current lease rate at 3.9% did multiple security deposits rate 3.0%
Monthly lease $639

No downpayment
Trade-in old clunker couldnt sell $4000

remember this are canadian dollars and yes we do get ripped off for cars up here.

So are you paying MSRP for a 2007 model year? That would be a rip off to say the least.

I was looking at leasing a 2008 328i and this was what they quoted me in Canada:

2008 328i
MSRP $49,062
Premium Package
Sports Package
Black Leatherette
Jet black,
Manual

3.9%
$7K down
residual 58%
monthly payment $560

If I was to order a 2008 with what i wanted, it would take 6 months. This car was already enroute, so i can have this in 6 week if i wanted.

You guys need to know what they are selling you the car for. You shouldn't be basing it off MSRP.
