It has been about 7.5 weeks so I decided to get an update on the status of my car. I knew from tracking it through the shipping company that it had been off loaded on Sept 16th but I was hoping to hear that it was at the VPC or better yet en route to my dealer.
So called my dealer
"It appears your car is still on the boat"
Looked at the BMW status page
"Car is en route"
Checked W&W shipping site just to make sure I didn't imagine it. It indicated that my Vehicle has been off loaded in Charleston SC
Called the BMW automated status system
"Your call is at the dock waiting on shippment" (something like that)
Called customer service (human)
"I don't know for sure but I think it is probably en route to your dealer" I then told him that my dealer seemed to think it may still be on the boat and he replied "Ummm Uhhh yeah then I guess you are looking at about 19 days"
If this wasn't so funny I would probably be in tears.
