check the buys/wanted section theyre usually are tons of them on there that would fit your car perfect maybee even something you would like more. Last time i went on i saw like 3 or 4 3.15 lsd's and i saw a 3.23? one as well.

What do you mean you "broke" it?

Im not sure exactly what it is. The fluid is clean but when I go around turns it grinds and the car shakes. Mainly does this at low speeds ie parking lots and such.

I got mine for $300 from Bavarian auto recycling. You can probably find one for around $200 on ebay.

I had the same grinding after using Mobil1 fluid, changed it out with some other fluid (I forget what it was but it was the most expensive) and the problem went away. Try replacing the fluid with 1 or 2 different kinds before buying a new diff... a $20 trial and error could save you $300 or $400

There was no LSD made for a 325. Do you mean an M3 LSD? Or a non LS diff for a 3 series?

I have a cheap non LS diff for sale with low miles. If you had upgraded to a LSD before, be sure to keep the input and output flanges if you buy a replacement so you can swap those over.

BMW did offer an LSD in the 325. I had a 3.91 LSD. It’s the US 328 that didn’t have one.

Good to know. You learn something new everyday. 3.91 though, sounds like an automatic? What years and models had this?

Yes it was off of an auto. When I asked the recycler for a 325 LSD they asked me if I wanted one from a 5spd or auto. As far as I know it was offered for all years on the 325. I have read several threads debating if LSD was offered on the 328 it was agreed that it was not in the US and rare in the countries that it was offered in.
