hey guys I know that in the US its illegal to remove your cat... here in central america its not.. has anyone ever tried this before?? pros? cons? lose backpressure? gain hp´s??

theres plenty on cat removal on the forums. since you already have an obdII mid pipe you cat would probably be the next most restrictive part in your exhaust. you might gain a little up top and some slight throttle response but nothing major. oh yea and it will be A LOT louder. some like it and some don't. with no resinators it can get a bit to raspy. one guy who removed his said "with no cats or resinators it sounds like a honda".

thats without the resonators... not cats wont give u a Honda sound. and that was just his openion.

Um, no.
I dont see the benefit of removing your cats on an OBDII car.
And it doesnt sound like a Honda.

remove the cats, and leave the resonators. you'll need O2 simulators to keep from throwing a CEL. and my friend has an S52 E36 with no cats OR resonators and it does sound like a farty honda civic. mine has no cats but has the resonators and sounds mean. loud, but mean.
