Hi everyone:
Just replaced my clutch about two weeks ago after 120,000 miles. Had a BMW tech replace it with a new clutch kit - OEM parts (I assume this included everything that was necessary). All was good, but recently I observed a sort of whine coming from under the car. The noise goes away after I step on the cluch. Some questions:
1) Is there a break in period for a new clutch? (I probably have 500 miles on the new clutch already)
2) Could it be the flywheel against the new clutch plate making the noise? (I read somewhere were this is normal after replacing the clutch) - I don't think its the T/O bearing.
3) Could it be something as simple as checking the tranny fluid?
Thanks!
