I was just in one of the Chicago suburbs blowing a couple of hours waiting for my car to get tinted at Ziebart, so I walked over to the local BMW/MINI dealer, Bill Jacobs.

I walked over to the MINI side of the dealership and a nice salesman was talking with me about the Cooper's. I asked if I could test drive an "S" model and to my surprise, he said yes. He even let me go at it alone.

Well....long story short, after 10 minutes in the yellow Cooper S with 17" white wheels and a white top, I'm in love! This car handles unbelievable! M3 land with tossability and actually seemed a little better than my lightened, and majorly stiffened 1995 318is. The supercharger provides nice power, quite strong in the midrange. Too bad I don't have an extra $23K laying around:devillook ....or I'd be driving a Indi Blue on black with a black top Cooper S in a second. Good job on this car BMW:clap:

Get one and get the 200hp upgrade kit and you'll be set.

I drove one with an upgraded blower and exhaust (200+hp) and some lowering springs. OMG, I want to get that on a track. Too much fun.

I have to get out there and test drive one myself... I'm a bit afraid to do so though, cuz i have a feeling that at only $23k I'd be very tempted to treat myself to a new daily driver....

A red mini cooper S lapped me twice....:( ...but then again, it lapped many e46 M3's out there as well :D .. that thing can haul ass and he whipped around corners like it was glued to the track.

Their Handlling is why the original models won all the Monte Carlo's back in the 60's (or whatever it was they won bunches of)

You're preaching to the choir!!

I took my M3 in for service and walked out with an MCS.
