View Full Version : Which Dunlop Winter Tire?

Seems like Dunlops might be the way to go for the winter. Some of the others seem "better" in the snow, but Dunlops seem maybe "better" during those times when there's no snow on the road (so more of a well rounded winter tire maybe).
If the above is true, then what might be the difference between the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D and the Dunlop Winter Sport M3?

I think the 3D is their newest performance winter tire, whereas the M3 is the older one. I don't think it's that Dunlops are especially good on dry roads, it's that the 3D & M3 seems to be their most popular lines (vs the Graspic DS-2). If you want to better snow/ice traits, get the Dunlop Graspic DS-2.

I'd bet all the major manufacturers "performance" winter tires have very similar dry pavement abilities. Blizzak LM-25, Continental TS810, etc.
