If it is a fuel level sender problem, this sometimes can be fixed with 1 or 2 uses of a "fuel system cleaner" fuel additive such as Techron. Techron is the most expensive, there's also STP, Valvoline, and many others.
If the problem is in the gauge itself, or the wiring, this will not help - but it will clean your injectors and valves also, so it's not wasted $ if it doesn't work.

If u lift the rear seat base up, there are 2 metal round covers held down with 4 screws each, remove covers, unplug fuel pump/senders, remove fuel lines, Carefully bash round the black plastic rings, remove pump/senders, check wiring, they usually break underneath, ie in the tank when fitted
