I have a 94 318 is and it certainly does not have fog lights at all. I removed the covers where they would go but there are no wires or anything to plug them in. So i want to buy some fog lights soon but how do i install them?

your car should be pre wired for them... do you have a fog light switch? the little button beside where you turn on the headlights?

You should search, there are loads of threads and even a DIY (I think) how to prewire fogs.

Here you go, I found this on English forum made by Steve318iS:
You will need the following parts which will give you full factory fog lamp functionality including dash tell tale lamp:
Foglamp relay : 61 31 1 388 364 £9
fuse 5A : £pennies
Dual foglamp switch : 61 31 1 387 054 £18
Foglamp Wire kit E36 : 61 12 9 410 398 £40
Set of fog lamps from GSF or ECP £47
Prices inc vat
The whole loom goes into the fusebox, all the connection points are in there. No wiring needs to be led back into the car dash unlike some aftermarket kits.
Mr Haynes was very handy with the wiring, but gblades etm wiring diag PDF is good enough to locate the coloured wires. (see link below)
You will need a small torx set and a driver with a flexible shaft to get the top off the fusebox.
Disconnect the battery before beginning!
You will need to insert the four connectors into the blank relay space and the two fuse connectors into the fuse space on the fusebox fuse holder. The other connectors go onto a multiblock with wires of the same colour. You lead the foglamp wiring down the n/s wing and across the front, I removed the black plastic landing panel cover and ran the o/s wiring under it.
There is a small link wire included which goes on the back of the light switch to the foglamp switch to power the relay.

:rolleyes
He gave you all the part numbers you need, and exactly how to do it. It's very easy if you just follow the paragraph above. It'll take you forever (and probably won't be done right) if you try to figure it out on your own.
