in the middle of replacing seat covers with a nice leather kit that includes the heatin elements. do the elements go between the cover and the foam, or in the back side of the foam held in place by the box spring assembly? since this not oem, i'd appreciate any ideas. these are the $$$ ones from leatherseats.com. real @ssholes work/own the place, but it seems that the quality of the leather is good...i'll be sure to let you know if they're not and i have to take their butts to judge judy!

it seems bmw uses their elements on the leather side, but the seat kit i got from leatherseats.com, the element seems to fit better under the foam...will this work, or am i really really wrong? i'm 1/2 done and it's a saturday...can SOMEONE help?

Under the foam? My guess is it will take ages to heat up. or not at all.

the reason i say 'under' is, the heating element is on a cloth-ish mesh with the actual; heat running back and forth across it. i'd would make it much harder to use those rings to secure the leather to the foam with the element between the two, you know?

i thought if you get the foam warm it naturally gets the hiney warm too, yes?
