What is the best way to go about removing the nokia covers on the rear speakers in the saloon model? All the diy instructions i have come across seem to be based on the coupe model as they refer to removing the covers from the non-boot side which is not possible in the 4dr due to the metal sheeting. Any help on this would be much appreciated as im not quite ready to go about attacking my new ride with a screwdriver as i would have in previous cars! Also, im planning on replacing the speakers with 6x9s run off the hu with for now (with new wires to work around the original system) and cant seem to find where the wires are run around the door trim area and was wondering where the most hassle free route might be to run new wires, thanks in advance, Charlie.

Well I don't know how much help this will be, since I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about and don't have any "Nokia" covers. I have owned two E36s though and have removed and installed just about every speaker involved.

If you're talking about the rear deck speakers (under the rear window) the covers on the stock E36 simply pull towards the front of the car, then the back end pops up, and the whole thing will pop out pretty easily.

Sorry i only called them that because they have nokia stickers on them so assumed that was the norm. I tried what you said but cannot get behind the covers as the seats dont fold dont, so i tried pushing them towards the front but this did nothing. It looks like a big black plastic box with a smaller one connect to the right of it (drivers side). Any ideas on where to run the wires?
