changed the oil....

i changed the oil, but the "oil meter" ( i dont know what its called), its still showing red, like if i need new oil?? how do i reset this? thanks in advanced

Your oil's fine if you just changed it... the light is just a light that needs to be reset seperately... check this website out...

or if you have access to a scanner/reset tool i'd recommend that as this way doesn't work all the time...

The light is just to indicate when you need to change your oil. You can pick up the tool to reset the light online. I recommend the peake tool personally. I got mine for $45 shipped from Bimmerzone (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/www.bimmerzone.com).
