Its probably on here somewhere but I haven't seen it. What's the expected interior colors going to be for the 135? I think they are going to do a cloth/leather combo right? And I assume a full leather and leatherette package too. Was wondering how wild they will get with the interiors. I'd love another red/black combo like they did on the Mcoupe. This could effect the decision on the exterior color for me.

Kinda answered my own question. Looked at that British brochure again. Its listed in the back. They have what they call an orange/black cloth/leather combo. I am hoping orange in the Queens English means red to us Yanks. That's the only real contrasting color listed. There is also a monoco blue/black combo but its cloth/cloth. I've always wanted a cloth/leather combo. The cloth for grip and the leather to give it the look of quality and richness.

I just hope they offer a cloth/leather combination in the N.American market. I have a feeling we may only see leatherette or leather in the 1. I hope I am wrong.

There will be no cloth option for the US market. :( We will get leatherette standard (black or tan colors only), and optional leather. If you want red, gray, or brown, you will have to get leather. :(

:(

The 135i is begging for a "clubsport" option or something similiar. Very few accesories, no leather/leatherette, only cloth.

NO CLOTH coming to the USA. Only vinyl or leather. Which is stupid. They should offer cloth or leather, many people I know don't like leather and definately DON'T like vinyl.

EXACTLY. That is 100% what I want!!! It is something they could even bring out in a year or two. In fact I would be suprised if they didn't. Won't happen when the car first comes out though.

If I could option my clubsport it would be cloth/leather seats, manual please. No nav or idrive crap, no sunroof and 17" lightweight wheels. Hell, while I'm at it, get rid of the silly 6 pot calipers. Two pistons is more than adequite for every other M3 out there, should be more than fine for this car too. You know those bling calipers are adding a ton of unsprung weight.

Dumb question for those that know, but I don't. They have this leather interior color called lemon that may or may not be an option. I assumed it was yellowish in color but just saw some pics in which it looks cream colored. So, can someone please inform me what the 'lemon' color actually looks like?

Thanks!

All M cars have single piston calipers. The 850s might have had 2 or 4 pistons.

Ok, so unless my eyes deceive me that's def. a nice cream color. I guess it begs the question. Why is it called lemon?

Yeah, just like those silly Porsches and Ferraris, and Aston Martin, and about *every* racecar built since the 70's. Who needs brakes, they just slow you down ...

BMW has not produced a car with adequate brakes (M series or not) for as long as I can remember. If you visit a racetrack that is hard on brakes it will become immediately clear that brakes is a serious weakness in BMW's and I applaud them for trying to rectify it.

Also, the sliding one-piston calipers of old are easily as heavy as the new Aluminum ones...

Gonna have to disagree with ya there. I raced an e30 m3 for years w/stock calipers and rotors. Many competitive e36 m3 racers do the same. Drove the piss out of an M6 on track with stock pads a couple months back and it was fine too. Have raced Z4s with stock brake setups and the car stopped fantastic. Have done mult testing days in the e90 chassis with no ill effects either. As long as you put a good pad on there and high temp fluid never had any problems. Same goes for the z3-mcoupe and the e46 m3. Would have to say BMW brakes are better than 90% of all the stock car brake systems out there.

you really can't see the color unless you have something completely white in next to it... but there is a slight yellow tinge to the color. It doesn't look like the outside of the lemon, but does look almost exactly like the white pulpy inside of the peel.

Take a look at the lemon interior threads on the E90's and you'll eventually see one that shows the tinting.
