So I was thinking about deleting my engine driven fan with the "approved" methods (different thermostat and fan switch) Anyone run this in Texas during the summer? I don't want to do it if I will get overheating with the A/C on but I just don't like the sound of the stupid fan spinning up and slowing down, it is so loud.
Thanks

I was really thinking about it, but the gains are so meager, I really don't think it's worth it in texas.

I am not so much interested in the gains. It is just the principle of a engine driven fan, and the sound it makes... Reminds me of an old pickup. I can hear it wind up and down when I am cruising on the hwy. It just has to go.

haha..You might want to contacting chris..
m3@understeer.com
He runs understeer.com, and sells the delete kits..He would be much more knowledgeable than most, including myself. :-P
I'm going to be doing it pretty soon. I don't have a E36 though, and I don't have a/c. :)

Thanks for the help :-P
I run it from fall-early spring. When it's summer, i chicken out and put the fan back on. I notice a little power loss, but when I'm stuck in 100deg heat and traffic, I don't really care too much.
