Hi Guys,

I have been pretty quiet on the forums and I just wanted to let the FI forum know about some products and services that I have been offering lately. I still specialize in custom turbo kits, AEM plug and play standalones and many other one-off parts but I wanted to showcase some newer products.

Radfab E36 driveshaft loop:
NHRA legal. Fits stock 2 piece driveshaft and DSS chro-mo shaft. Custom piece for perfect fitment and easy install/removal. - $200 with hardware.

Radfab manual boost controller:
Fully adjustable inline MBC for precise adjustment of boost levels. - $40

Radfab trans crossmember:
Reinforced stock transmission crossmember designed to withstand the abuse of higher power FI cars. - $70 plus stock crossmember for core

Radfab differential support:
Fix for the troublesome front diff mounting bolt. Eliminates bent or broken bolts and stripped threads. Welding required. Essential for FI cars, recommended for all E36's. - $120 installed

Radfab E36 rear subframe mount reinforcement/repair:
Non-M3 E36 cars lack the reinforcement plates that later M cars got from the factory. Over time the 4 mounts separate from the weak sheet metal and actually tear the rear subframe from the car. The damage can range from a few hairline cracks to a completely detached subframe. Left alone it will only get worse. Labor intensive job that requires rear subframe/suspension removal. Symptoms are clunking from the rear end and the driveshaft hitting the floor pan. - $600 for reinforcement with factory plates. Additional charge for damaged mounting points (typically ~$200).

Thanks,
Mike

I'm gonna have to come down for the diff reinforcement, though i'm not FI, i beat the shit out of it.

awesome products though :)

how much would you charge to secure an OPN/oil pan gasket/reinforce front subframe ears, assuming i supplied parts?

Mike, how does the drive shaft hoop attach to the car? Existing holes or big ol' self tappers? I have an E34 I am not sure if mounting points are the same - how about the transmission brace?

Mike, have you worked with Felix at all with tuning?

Do you have or know of any local (to you) high quality eddy current dynos?

I know Felix but I haven't worked with him. Sean Ivey does my tuning.

There is an AWD dynojet inertia dyno in my current shop and in Sean's shop. IMP in Clifton, NJ has an AWD Mustang dyno with eddy current capabilities.

mike, I dont mean to get OT here buuuut, ive noticed that my driveshaft is hitting the floor pan back by the diff as well. I checkde the subframe and i put the car in the air literaly once a week to check things and everything looks fine to me. However i did notice that my rear diff bolt was loose and bent into a nice S shape. Im currently running all stock bushings except my motor mounts. You know why this could be happening? anything you can recommend?

Yeah, if the front diff bolt is loose/bent/missing the driveshaft will hit the floorpan also. I would recommend the diff support install ASAP.

Your car is a later model car and most likely has the subframe reinforcement plates. Only the early e36's didn't have the plates.

I remember seeing your diff setup. Can you post it again?

Is it "better" than the AA DSB I have. I know that is kind of putting you on the spot but looking for opinions.

Also would the reinforced trans support be good for a tracked car?

question on the tranny crossmember...

under max acceleration, i sometimes have trouble going from second to third. i figure the tranny is twisting enough to slightly mis-align the gate. i already put in UUC tranny mount enforcers, and they helped a little but not enough. would the crossmember support help? or would i need something else?

If you already have the AA brace I would leave it alone. Mine addresses the same issue in a more permanent(weld-on) fashion. The AA is a full bolt-on piece, whereas mine would need to be cut off.

Ulysses(Card Counter) and I broke our stock trans mounts in the middle with some "spirited driving". I would say it is a cheap and easy upgrade.

There are several AEM configurations that I offer along with optional features. Your best bet is to email or call for pricing for your particular setup.

I am not sure if that will solve your problem but it definitely won't add to it. UUC also has some nice solid poly trans mounts with a through-bolt that you may want to take a look at.

Cool.

Does your trans mount accept OEM type mounts? IE UUC with enforces?

How do I pay? Do I ship you mine and 70 dollars or pay 70 dollars and then ship you mind after install?

Hey whats up Mike its Stefan, idk if you remeber me but had you had made the diff brace for my s/c 328 about 4-6weeks ago. i was thinking about the Radfab trans crossmember. how long would this take to get done if i came up to see you, and i also have uuc mount with the enforcers.

I have the trans brace on with the UUC red tranny mounts and the aluminum
cups all fits and there is no vibration.

Mike I was looking under the car the other day O K was not looking but putting in new rear frame and was wondering If a torque arm could be made for our cars(kind of like the camaro guys) it looks doable and with driveshaft loop it might bolt to that.
I think this will stiffen the body and help support the rear and rear frame.
When you get a chance see what you think.

There are two main reasons to use a torque arm. First, a strong design will greatly reduce body flex. Second, you can reduce compliance by switching from rubber OEM bushings to urethane or better yet using spherical rod ends.
Maybe somthing like this. Mike I know you can do it

when would be a good time for me to come and get the trans brace done? like two weeks?

5mall5nail5

Wouldn't a torque arm like that necessitate a single piece driveshaft and ultimately mean less headroom for movement of the differential/IRS?

I think the driveshaft that Ulysses and I have from The Driveshaft Shop are one piece.

Mike why do you have to make such a killer deal on diff support and install.

I would pay you $120 in a heart beat to have that done, I may even do it a second time just for shits and giggles. But only problem I'm on the other side of the states. :(
