Hi all,
My car got keyed by someone at the mall, and would like to know whether AAA will repaint the my car if I purchase the full coverage? Also, will i be able to have AAA paint for the front hook while telling them it's from the same incident? Have anybody done this before? Can you please give some advice? Thanks!!!

damn, that sucks.
even if you have full coverage, thiers a deductable. i got a 1000 deductable, so basically anything thats small isnt worth claiming. and in addition if you claim anything, it goes against you, because you get to be more and more of a "risk" to the insuranse company.
so find out how much this should cost to fix, then see if its worth it.

Do you mean after claiming it, I would have to pay for it in the future? I mean my insurance will go up. I have $500 deductable, which a good paint job will easily go higher than that.
Will I be able to have the whole car repaint? If not, what can I do?

If you had comprehensive coverage BEFORE your car got keyed that would have paid for it minus your deductible. Comprehensive is also known as other than collision. It will pay for things like theft, vandalism, etc. etc.

Sure it does, but you can't buy insurance AFTER you get keyed.

They are going to red flag you for insurance fraud when you buy the coverage and then, in a short time frame, file a claim.

I think i'd missed something in between. I have been paying full coverage for 3years already. I wondered whether this incident will affect my insurance rate after the claim?

AA would answer that for you.

So there is really no sense in getting a low deductable. If you file a claim for little things like this your insurance rises. Go figure.:dunno

Are you sure that any claims will rises the insurance? What if the incident wasn't in my control or wasn't my fault? I see a couple of people on this board where they have claimed the same kind of incident as mine before, please speak up?

damage like that-parking lot, hit and run, no witnesses- is treated as vandalism and my claim is filed under comprehensive by my ins. co.
of course, we filed a police report.
your rate not likely to rise unless you have history of such claims.

No, it doesn't. If you have a history, as someone here noted, then it goes up. I have had three claims, one my fault, in the last 7 or so years and my insurance goes down every quarter.
Filip, maybe you need a better insurance company.

I need ihooklow's insurance here in jersey.
I hit a deer once and paid $1500 out of pocket so the insurance wouldn't tag my wallet down the road.
