just started to install my new 750cc precision injectors and found they dont fit in exactly as stock. the grooves for the metal clips dont line up properly so the clip cant fit over the fuel rail and the injector. i am using the stock fuel rail. is it ok to not use the clips or should i start cutting grooves into my injectors?:rolleyes

I was told I was the only one with this problem...

I am not using clips at all, the fuel rail holds the injectors in nicely when bolted down. Only thing is when you pull the fuel rail sometimes an injector or 2 will still be stuck in the manifold and it makes it so the fuel pours out of the fuel rail over everything :mad.

Also when you install them put a little grease on the O rings to help them seat in the manifold. I had boost leaks at the injectors from them not seating properly, the grease fixed my problems.

I really wish there was a better way than not using any clips though.

I have the Precision 42LBS. injectors and there are no problems with fitting!

uggh...how long have you been driving like that for? yeah, i always grease em up first. work much better. i think i am just going to bust out the exacto knife and cut a groove in there so there is at least some added security...

how do aftermarket fuel rails hold the injectors in?

i bought my 75 lb precision injectors off ebay and i could not use my little metal clips either. i have never had an leak or fitment issues.
not sure why you need the clips, if the injectors is seated the proper way between the rail and the manifold and both 0 mm bolts are bolted properly then you should not have any leaks. i just dabbed a little motor oil on the O rings and they slid in just fine into the rail and maniflod with no issues.

I got mine from a member on here, I'm not sure of the original place he got them.

Mine are 84# precision injectors. They have been withing clips for 2k+ miles with no issues since I seated them properly.

They still fit snug with the fuel rail bolted down. :shrug
