2- 00000
3- 7583
4- 66714

Ok so number 4 is 66714 which is the serial number, So with that i went to REALOEM.com

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do?vin=66714&kind=P&series=E28&body=Lim&model=528i&zone=ECE&prod=19820400&motor=M30&steering=L&trans=A&arch=1

According to Real OEM the serial is 7 digits long you only posted a 5 digit #. Try the last seven leters of the vin and see what happens.

In addition, What does this test do I have never heard about it?

my cars last 7 of the vin is FF89088 but the cluster will only display the numerical parts of the vin

and the test really dosnt do anything beside verify that ur gauages are working and that that was the original gage cluster in the car

I have a M cluster in

My vin and cluster won't match as my car has a full M-conversion,

Just wanted to know or find out what year car my cluster came from?
