Gear box trouble

Hi guys/ladys need help big time,while driving home from work this morning i put my 1994 325tds in to fifth gear and cant get it out now,it seems to be jammed,havnt had any troulbe like this before,does any 1 have any ideas what might be wrong with it????

Linkage? Try looking under the car. Try to manipulate the linkage from there.

Any body else have any other ideas or is it time for a new gear box????

Shifter bushings? You need to take apart your shifter and check it.

Actually it happened the same in my old VW Scirocco, I got stuck in 3rd gear. I took apart the leather shifter cover inside the car (by the shifter nob) and I saw the linkage was unconnected from one or the rods on there.
Do the same, remove the leather cover and inspect everything.
