What is more abrasive... 3M Fine Cut Rubbing Compound or 2000 grit sandpaper?

Almost surely the sandpaper. 3Ms fine cut compound (Perfect it 2 right?) isn't very harsh at all. Its got the same cutting as their SMR, just with no oils.

It doesn't say Perfect It II anywhere on the bottle. All it says is "Body Repair Rubbing Compound Fine Cut". What's the difference between the Perfect It II and the one I have? The one I have is only an 8oz. bottle.
