I bought all new studs and nuts for my manifold and cant seem to find what thread they are. I need to re-tap the threads because most of them will only go in about 1/4 of the way. Anyone?

Are the studs metric or standard? Are these the studs that mount the turbo to the manifold?

If they're metric and the turbo to manifold studs, then I'd expect them to be M10. M10 can be usually found with 2 thread pitches, 1.25 (fine) or 1.5 (normal).

M10 x 1.5 is the standard and easily found. M10 x 1.25 is NOT the norm and a bitch to find, but CAN be found. We have M10 x 1.25 studs if you need them.

If you're asking about the studs that attach the manifold to the head, they are M7.

Yeah, I meant the studs for the head.
So they are 7mm? which sounds about right but do you know what the pitch of the threads are? 1.00 , 1.25, ....

Thanks for the help guys. I'm sure I'll have more stupid little question over the next couple weeks. I've got most my hardware in now. I'm just trying to add another boosted bimmer to the North East.
