Anyone been there yet? I swung by today, I wasn't too impressed, but they are by far the best I have seen in Lincoln, although I hear Buggy Bath is good too. It was around $7.50 for an exterior wash, but wasn't as good as VIP or Dolphins in Omaha.

Nope, I don't usually take my car through places. I take it to a power wash and spray it down really good and then do the rest by hand. I thought about trying it though because they have the 48 hr gaurentee?? Since it snowed today are you going to take it back it? How does that work?

I was going to take her back in tomorrow, provided the roads are clear. They record your license plate #, so the computer keeps track of everything, pretty convenient if you ask me. I think they have a 10 washes and 1 free as well as discounts for returning customers. I got a discount yesterday since they were having a grand opening special, an extra 10% off for taking a quick survey.

I like the do-it-yourself places as well, this is the first time since I have been in Lincoln that I have taken it in to get it washed. I usually hit up the Amoco on 14th and Old Cheney, since they have a washbay.

An addendum to my earlier post: my car was EXTREMELY dirty, so I think that's why it didn't get all the crud off it. Much prettier now, minus the snow, of course.

I hate the weather around here and the city throws so much salt and sand on the ground it is no wonder we can't keep our cars clean. People just need to learn how to drive if you ask me. I'll have to swing by and see how they do sometime.

Hey what color car do you have?

She's black...u?

Same, black with light grey leather. I'm hopefully going to be getting rid of the grey sideskirts either this weekend or next weekend.

Do you have a 2 or 4 door? Auto or Manual? Where do you live in lincoln? I'm trying to think if I have seen you around or not?

camel interior, auto, 2dr, no tint. Are you painting your skirts? I live down off 31st & Old Cheney, but since I'm in school, I'm downtown a lot. We need a BMW wave or something, like they do for Jeeps. I see too many bimmers out on the road not to.

Actually that grey scrubs off with a little work and some of the right degreasing materials. If you want I could let you know how it turns out? Or if you are feeling really generous I'm sure it would go faster with help?? ;)

I live between 56th and 48th off of Old Cheney. Do you live in the Old Cheney Place apartments? How old are you? I'm 21. We need to get together this summer and meet at Sonics so we can park by each other. Do you have any mods yet? Mine are kind of minimal. I'm saving my pennies for a LSD w/ different gears.

Good luck on the wave. Everyone in a BMW that I have seen in this town accept for Jeremy aka dasmafia and his wife won't even look at you let alone wave. It is ridiculous. I'll wave if you see me though.

kick ass! I'm at Embassy Park, just behind the Mormon Church. I'm 22, and I've probably seen you around. let me know when you are doing it, the gf is out of town next weekend (14th-16th) so I'll be around if you get to it then. Let me know. No mods yet, saving though.. i just got mine 6 weeks ago. We'll work on the wave though.

Yeah, I'll definately let you know when I do it. Mine are pretty faded already so I don't think they should give us too much trouble. If it gets warm enough I might do it this weekend otherwise it will definately have to be next weekend. Because I'm going out of town the 19th - 23rd and have to have it done before then so I can have some body work done while I'm gone.

What mods you looking at doing? Don't you just love your car. I don't know about you but I went from an '89 Accord to this. Man what a difference in quality and performance!!

Do you go to Sonics much? One of my friends and I go there almost every Friday to check out the cars. Well every Friday in the summer that is.

Don't think I got your name either???? I'm Justin

Justin-

I'm Adam, and yes, i love my car! I had a shitty 95 ford escort, so this is a huge upgrade. Eventually, I'd like clear corners and new headlights and a chip.

I like to hit up Sonic for cherry limeaid! that stuff rocks. How long have you had your car?

well if you are looking for headlights I know exactly where to send you to get some nice ones. How soon do you want them? Did you want the dde's (angel/demon eyes). I have a chip and man right now with gas prices the way they are that is an expensive mod since you'll have to run premium but it is all worth it!! :D If you hang around here you'll want to do alot of things with your car. Trust me!! I'm just low on the funds right now. I'm looking into buying a house this summer too.

I've had mine since September '02. Not very long either. So this will be the first time I can go to Sonic and maybe have someone come look at my car!!

I hadn't looked into the lights too much yet, since low on cash, so no sense in getting excited yet. I was planning on waiting a year or so for chip, and do the lights in probably 6 months or so. i never thought that I wold be as into a car asI am now. My gf is starting to get jealous! :dunno

Well when you are ready. Let me know and I will contact or you can contact dasmafia here on this board. He would probably be able to hook you up with the lights. I got addicted too. They are fun!!

If you ever have a project or need help putting stuff together. I love working on cars so don't hesitate to ask. Especially if it is a modification!!

I've noticed that with my wife. Gotta be careful man. Woman do get jealous of things even if they aren't other woman. Just make sure she knows she is first and not the car. That is what I did, and things are fine. I get a little carried away and then have to step back and realize that she is more important than the car is. You can always get a new car but you can't always replace the woman!! Sorry if that sounded like I was preaching I wasn't trying to just had that problem for a while myself, luckily she stuck with me and we're married now.

How long have you been dating?

Mojo325is

My first 2 cars were classics, I had a 72 nova SS that looked like crap and ran like a dream, then i had a 80 Malibu Classic that was cherry, old lady car that I found and had pimped out, both were in HS. The 'bu got wrecked, i was hit by a guy doing 40 on the way to a swap meet in Fremont and got screwed over and ended up getting the Escort. Part of what made me get the BMW was the fact that I could work on her myself.

Jamie and I started dating in high school, like four years ago. We were on and off for about a year, then she moved away to go to college. She moved back to the area a few months ago, and we got back together a few months ago and now I am  we are back together, she's pretty cool though, I let her drive the car once in a while!

I'd like to do an oil change coming up, do you, by chance have the tools and ramps I could borrow???

Wow!! You've had some nice cars. I've only had the Honda and the BMW, I want a '97 Camaro SS for my weekend car but right now that is going to be a while!! :bawl

That is awesome you guys are back together. I'm in the process of teaching the wife to drive a stick. She catching on. I just don't really want her driving a RWD car in the snow. She just isn't used to it.

Got tools, no ramps, but I have a 3 ton jack and jack stands that should do the trick. In fact it is time for my oil change also. When were you planning on doing it?

Whenever on the change, we could do it when we get your skirts, kill two birds with one stone. The Nova was a great beater car, I tore apart the engine pretty much every weekend. Rebuilt the carb myself, all kinds of crazy stuff. Re-did the exhaust and fuel pumps, plugs, timing, you name it.

Are you available at all on Sat.? It is supposedly going to be 50degrees which should be warm enough to spray on some clear coat. Otherwise we can plan on next Saturday. Whatever works best for you?

I love old muscle cars. They rule!!
