how easy is it to cut the holes for the e46 style fender grilles. is there a site for instructions, cutting patterns, how many of you have done this, pics may help. thanks

Ugh... please, don't do that. As easy as it can possibly be, this is pretty ricey.

An E36 is an E36, and an E46 is an E46. Only acceptable mod is the rounded M3 badge, and then again...

those don't belong on an e36. if you want them, go buy an e46 M3. Do it and your car will look like ass.

Those gills look like shit even on the e46 m3 in my opinion, much cleaner without them. But if they are functional I guess its acceptable.

Certainly not functional. I like them on the e46. But they're fugly on the e36

I don't think they're functional on the E46. But the E92 M3 has functional ones.

Mine are getting replaced right now. The PO put them on. Only downside of the purchase. They are very ugly. Although
non-bmw enthusiasts think they're "awesome". I do not like them.
