I have some curb rash on the outside of my ltw rims (polished.) Is there anyway to repair this myself?

I haven't tried this yet but it seemed to work out well for him. So if you follow the instructions it looks like this will take care of your curb rash.

Thanks, but that's for painted wheels. :(

Oh sorry. Couldn't you do something close to that procedure and then wet sand it when youre done instead of the painting to polish it?:dunno I don't really know I'm just throwing out ideas.

My guess is that it all depends on how bad the rash is. From what I've seen and experienced myself is that curbs do way more damage to wheels than a simple buffing/polishing will solve.

Were you ever able to DIY repair? If yes, can you let me know how you did it...same issue for me.

Actually, one of my co-workers just told me about a great wheel shop around here. I will most likely take it there to see what they can do. I've found the job of repairing polished wheels is not exactly a DIY type of task. :)

What are they charging for curb rash repair?

$50-$100, depending on how bad each wheel is.

If you could do some before/after pics that would be awesome!
My ltw wheels have no rash at all, I clean them fanatically w/soap&water, but there are 2-3 tiny pits on most wheels; I suppose from larger bits of hot pad dropping on them - in a few places. If they have some way to fill/repolish these I'm betting your business may be followed by a lot of us.
