Hi, I was wanting some opinions on which tire size to run on a set of '95 M3 wheels (17x7.5 all around) on a 1992 325is.

The car is obviously not a pavement shredder, but I'd like the look and extra grip of the 235. But that may just be irrational, lol. The 225's are much more plentiful and less expensive, plus they probably weigh a little less so they won't slow the coupe's acceleration down as much.

It's going to be a fun commuter/occasional family car. Taking exit ramps will probably be the most it sees. I've got a modded 300ZX TwinTurbo with 18x8.5 and 18x10 wheels with Falken 615's to get crazy with when I want :-)

It's got 205's on it now (on 15" Style 10's). so either tire will be substantially wider.

Thanks for any comments,

Mike

235/40s. Some 235/40s are less expensive and lighter than some 225/45s. Some even have a better ride despite having a lower profile. It all really depends on which tires as every brand and model of tire have different specs with given sizes.
