I've been in love w/ the 540's ever since 98 when i got to borrow an associates for an extended weekend.

Well after looking for a nice one about 8 months ago i didnt find one and went w/ a supercharged a4 2.8Q - great car but a little too small and it kept me hungry for a 540i 6spd.

Long story short - i have now found my baby and i pick her up on saturday.

She's a 97 540i Spt 6spd in Titanium Silver on black w/ 52k miles, ac schnitzer bodywork, clear fronts and rears, and remus exhaust in beautiful shape. Clean carfax, clean BMW repair/service history and cool owner.

I already have a friend from DTM Power helping me w/ some contacts to do a chip, intake, suspension, and a few other goodies.

Hopefully down the road i'll do a supercharger on it, but for now she's my daily driver.

I wanted to introduce myself to this forum as i heard it was one of the best BMW forums on the net - and i have a few friends from twinturbo.net here.

Hello and please dont shoot me down for "dumb noob" questions!

Thanks,
Wagz

NoVA is correct, but it's still good to have more VA folk representing the BMW community. By the way, I prefer Charlottesville...he he he :D Just kidding.

lol ur talking to a guy who already spent $50k on my 300zx and took it to roughly 650rwhp - i want to try to go somewhat easy for starters on the 540 and work my way into the heavy mods - cuz again its my DD so i dont want it being in the shop all the time either lol

figure angel eyes, supsension, rims, chip, intake, for starters

That is one sweeeetttt ride.
Cindy and I have been thinking of trading in her Miata for 540 (auto), or a E36 convert.

Still debating and waiting to pay off her car first.
As for being a noob and asking noob questions, EVERYONE HERE WAS A NOOB once in their life:evil2
Anyways, welcome to the kick ass club, this side of the web!

Great car and photo!

Nice daily driver!!:D That's what I'll most likely get for the DD for my wife when we have kids and need the room!

AWESOME 300ZX!! I love turbocharged Jap. cars, my brother has a Stealth TT that was running about 500hp, but he's stripped the mods off it and sold them because he's trading it in on his next car that he picks up really soon, a Lancer EVO 8!:D

thanks 4 the compliments - my z is roughly 650rwhp and very customized - show winner blah blah - fun car but spends more time in the shop getting mods then it does being driven.

she's just got a front mount intercooler, 850 injectors, stainless steel fuel lines and some other goodies on her - now she's at the bodyshop getting a brand new paint job and custom widebody rear w/ 18x12 HRE 540's on the rear and 18x9 fronts ;)

ya i'm excited about the 540 - want to do a bunch to it so i'll have to try to pace myself!
